What it feels like.
The day-to-day reality, the uncertainty, and the parts that don’t always show up in a photograph.
MY HEALTH JOURNEY
A full life. A changing capacity. Learning to share both.
A PLACE TO BEGIN
I’m the person who wants to try the recipe, take on the renovation, grab a wrench, and say yes to a good night out. I’m also someone who lives with chronic illness. Sometimes I get sick and I can’t do the things I want to do.
That has been painful and challenging to accept. Sharing it feels vulnerable, too. It means showing the struggle alongside the things I love doing, and being honest about the days when my body has other plans.
I’m learning to make room for that part of myself. There’s a reminder beside me that says, “My story empowers. My voice empowers.” I believe sharing can help someone else feel less alone. So this is where I’m beginning.
I’ll tell this story a piece at a time, in my own words.
THE CONVERSATIONS I WANT TO OPEN
The day-to-day reality, the uncertainty, and the parts that don’t always show up in a photograph.
Changing plans, accepting limits, and figuring out what it means to still feel like myself.
Making space for honest conversations about chronic illness, vulnerability, and self-acceptance.
This chapter is just beginning. Personal stories will be added here as I write them.
My story empowers.
My voice empowers.
The reminder I’m choosing to live by.
