THE PERSON BEHIND THE PURSUITS
Hi, I’m Kelly.
I brought
the audacity.
A curious mind. A few too many interests.
And a willingness to give it a go.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
“I wonder…”
is usually how
it starts.
I collect vintage cookbooks, take on house projects, work on cars, and tend to follow a good question wherever it leads. Can I make that? Can I fix it? What would happen if I tried?
That curiosity is the thread running through this little corner of the internet. Some days it leads to an old recipe with a very ambitious definition of “salad.” Other days it leads to a renovation, a repair, or another excuse to learn how something works.
I like the figuring-it-out part: the research, the small discoveries, the unexpected detours, and the satisfaction of finally getting something to work. A sense of humor helps with the rest.
SAME KELLY. MANY PURSUITS.
Things that catch
my curiosity.
Old books.
New experiments.
Vintage recipes, their stories, and the question of whether they deserve another helping.

Read. Color.
Repeat.
My sister and I launched Ember & Smolder around things we love: reading, thoughtful gifts, and little moments of enjoyment. What started with book boxes and cute gifts now includes coloring books, too.
It fits right in here. Some pursuits call for a toolbox. Some call for a good book and a fresh set of pencils.

Try things.
Learn things.
Share things.
That’s the idea. Follow the curiosity, give it a try, and share what happens along the way. There’s room here for a good story, an authentic conversation, and whatever comes next.
LET’S START A CONVERSATION
Got a curious
idea? Say hello.
A vintage recipe I should try? A project to swap notes on? A collaboration that feels like a fit? I’d love to hear from you.
